A visit to a Sokcho restaurant famous for its spicy Jjamppong Sundubu

I finally got to try the Jjamppong Sundubu that everyone says is a must-eat when visiting Sokcho. The combination of soft tofu and spicy Jjamppong broth was incredibly satisfying and refreshing. The broth, packed with generous amounts of seafood, had a clean and spicy flavor with a deep umami taste that stood out.

Typically, Sundubu-jjigae is known for its mild flavor, but this was a truly unique twist. Each spoonful brought together the softness of the tofu and the richness of the seafood, making it hard to stop eating. Finishing a bowl of rice alongside it was just a matter of time.

It’s the perfect dish to wrap up your day after enjoying the sights of Sokcho’s seaside. If you’re ever in Sokcho, this is a meal I highly recommend.
