Even with rain and low temperatures, Mount Seorak still has a unique beauty. The mist surrounds the hilltop, coupled with the gradually changing color of the maple leaves, the whole atmosphere is very healing. Buchao is famous for its natural scenery, in addition to Seorak Mountain, there are ancient temples and giant bronze Buddha, chill strolling in the woods is also good, but we are a day trip so time is limited.

The big bronze statue was built for people in exile who hope to see their families one day, but the impact caused by political issues is insincere.

🗺️ Recommended tour routes:
This route starts from Seoraksan Sogongwon Park, where you can take a slow walk to enjoy the surroundings. Following the walk to the Seoraksan Cable Car Station, it is recommended to arrive early, especially on cloudy and rainy days, because the view up the mountain will change due to clouds and weather, but there is a sense of fairy air. Take the cable car up halfway up the mountain, along the way you can see the maple leaves all over the mountain, from green to red, and encounter white fog shuttle, very fantastic. After getting off the cable car, you can choose to climb the mountain. Visitors can decide how much to climb according to their physical strength.

Then follow the directions to walk to Xinxing Temple, an antique Buddhist temple that has opened at 4am, and the atmosphere of the temple is tranquil whether it’s raining or sunning, and you can slowly admire the ancient architectural details. Finally, don’t miss the bronze Buddha, which is located in the national park. Standing in front of the Buddha statue, you can feel the majesty of Korean traditional culture.

💡Playing Tips:
The Seoraksan Cable Car Station opens at 8am, especially in peak season.
Waterproof shoes and a raincoat are recommended on rainy days when Mountain Louis is wet and slippery.
Temperatures are lower in the mountains than in the city, so prepare a jacket or gloves to keep warm

⚠️ Notes:
- Some scenic spots such as Xinxing Temple need to abide by religious rules and do not eat and drink in the temple.
- Remember to bring your own bags to take away garbage from parks and mountains to keep the environment clean.
- The cable car may be suspended in the event of too bad weather or heavy fog.
