Kao Seng Rock

#summerspritz
From Khao Khao Saen Temple, you can spot the Kao Seng Rock. There's an alternative and more comfortable way/path leading from the temple down to the rock, with several scenic spots which perfect for photo taking. According to local legend, Nai Raeng, a city ruler deeply devoted to Buddhism, loaded 900,000 baht worth of treasures onto a junk boat, aiming to enshrine them in the Phra Borommathat Chedi in Nakhon Si Thammarat. However, when the boat encountered problems and couldn't continue, he buried the treasures on the hill and ordered his crew to place his severed head atop it. Villagers believe that Nai Raeng's spirit still guards the wealth beneath the rock. It's said that if his descendants can push the rock into the sea, they will inherit the buried treasures. To this day, no one has succeeded.
