Arrived at the scenic area at 10:30, although told the observation tower was closed due to power outage 🤦‍♀️
But! Unexpectedly, the power came back just as I got on the sightseeing bus!!
Totally a lucky girl moment ✨

Arrived at this thousand-year-old ancient town at around 5 PM 🏰
It was an important post on the Ancient Tea Horse Road!
The well-preserved ancient city walls and buildings reflect a blend of Tibetan and Han cultures～

The ancient town is super lively at night 💥
The streets are full of 1 RMB beef skewers 🍢
(The taste... well, it’s very cost-effective)
You can also buy various wild mushrooms and local specialties
Dinner was a warm mushroom hot pot～ (Photos 12-18)

🏠 Accommodation suggestions:
There are many Tibetan-style guesthouses around the ancient town
The one we stayed at was average, so not recommended
If your budget allows, it’s better to choose a nicer one

✨ Travel tips:
1️⃣ Big temperature difference! Remember to bring a thick jacket
2️⃣ Pay attention to sun protection! The UV rays on the plateau are very strong
3️⃣ If you want to buy wild mushrooms, be sure to ask about how to prepare them
