One Day and One Night Trip to Songpan

🏕️🪵🍁 Songpan is really perfect for those working in Chengdu or nearby to relax, breathe fresh air, and do light hiking on weekends. The transportation is very convenient. Although a one-day trip is possible, for a better experience, it is recommended to stay overnight.
🏠 Accommodation: Qingli Inn offers great value, suitable for a simple overnight stay. They provide high-speed rail pick-up service. It has a courtyard style and is located outside the ancient town, with a convenient location.
📍 Transportation: After work on Friday, take the 🚄 train from 18:33 to 20:16.
Upon arrival, the inn arranges a driver to pick you up, only 4 kilometers from the station, about a 10-minute drive.
Saturday travel: Rent a car or carpool. The chosen route is picking up from the ancient town - Zhaga Waterfall - Erdao Lake - Xuebaoding - high-speed rail station.
Return: Take the 🚄 train on Saturday from 19:56 to 21:31.
⛰️ Activities: Arrive at the inn around 20:30 on Friday night, then you can visit the ancient town for 1.5-2 hours. The beef skewers cost one yuan each and are incredibly delicious. You can even get up early the next day to buy some fresh beef to take away.
Saturday activities: Agree with the driver in advance to depart at 10:00. Leaving too early can be a bit cold, but 10:00 departure still allows plenty of time for sightseeing. From the ancient town, head to the entrance of Munigou Scenic Area to buy tickets. The combined ticket for Zhaga Waterfall and Erdao Lake is 100 yuan per person. Spend 1.5 hours at Zhaga Waterfall and 1.5 hours at Erdao Lake. Photography lovers 📸 can stay an extra half hour at each spot. At 15:00, you can head to Xuebaoding. Xuebaoding is over 4,000 meters above sea level, and it’s windy, so be sure to wear something warm. But it’s really beautiful, and if you’re lucky, you can even see the sunset.
