#WinterTravel
Doi Pui Ko, Sop Moei District, Mae Hong Son Province
At an elevation of 1406 meters above sea level, approximately 10 kilometers from the Sop Moei District Office, Doi Pui Ko is known as a land of golden grasslands. Its stunning scenery and breathtaking sea of mist offer 360-degree views, allowing you to witness both the sunrise and sunset. At night, the sky is full of stars, undisturbed by light pollution. Highlights include the green pavilion and the isolated tree. There is no electricity, and no food or water is available for purchase. Bring your own supplies. There are several bathrooms, separated by gender. However, there are only toilets for men and women. Showering is prohibited, as rainwater tanks are used. So, be mindful of your own supplies. Bring wet wipes or cooling towels.
The route from Sop Moei to the mountain is about 14 kilometers. The road is a narrow concrete-dirt road, so sedans are not recommended. The hiking trail is about 800 meters, and the porter fee is 400 baht round trip. There is a spacious camping area at the top. There is no charge (if you carry your own luggage). If you don't have a car, you can take a bus to Mae Sariang District and hire a local pickup truck.
From Mae Sariang to the walking trailhead: 2,000 baht, up to 10 people.
From Sop Moei (entrance) to the walking trailhead: 1,500 baht, up to 10 people.
