When you think of Hokkaido in summer, you think of the lavender fields of Furano.
Among Furano's lavender fields, Farm Tomita is particularly famous.
The vast grounds are home to a variety of flower fields and shops, and during the season it is a hugely popular spot, attracting many visitors from Japan and abroad.
Among Farm Tomita's lavender fields, Lavender East is a hidden gem.
This flower field is used for production, such as extracting essential oils, so you can observe the actual care and harvesting process.
Also, since there are few tourists, you can enjoy the flower fields at your own pace.
Another experience you should definitely try is the lavender bus, pulled by a large tractor.
The lavender bus slowly travels through the vast fields. With views of Mt. Tokachi from your seat, lavender swaying at your feet, and the refreshing scent, it makes for a wonderful experience.
After enjoying the lavender fields, enjoy some lavender soft serve ice cream and a relaxing foot bath in the natural hot springs. This is sure to refresh your mind and body.
Hours: 9:30 AM - 4:30 PM
Open: Late June - Late July
