Wat Si Sawai, Sukhothai

Wat Si Sawai, located south of Wat Mahathat and near the southern wall of Sukhothai city, is a significant historical site featuring three prangs (Khmer-style towers). It was built around the 18th Buddhist century and underwent renovations during the Ayutthaya period. Prince Damrong Rajanubhab speculated that this temple was originally a Hindu shrine and might have been called 'Sri Shivaya,' referring to Lord Shiva. The temple is beautiful with a serene atmosphere.
