Xiangshan Visitor Center: The Most Beautiful Rest Stop

First-time visitors to this center will undoubtedly be amazed by its design. It is arguably Taiwan's most beautiful rest stop, nestled in the inland region of the country. Officially opened in 2011, it has been well-maintained ever since.

The entire structure was designed by internationally renowned Japanese architect Norihiko Dan. Inspired by the embrace of Sun Moon Lake, the design focuses on blending seamlessly with the natural landscape. The sloped grass roof leads directly to the rooftop, and various curved forms rise from the ground to create all the spaces, striving for harmony with nature.

This is an excellent spot to enjoy views of Sun Moon Lake! The architecture offers unique perspectives, and the decorative pools and their reflections are stunning. The streamlined exterior is also highly photogenic. Additionally, there’s a café where you can sit and take in the scenery!
