Heroes Monument Surabaya

The Heroes Monument Surabaya is located in Surabaya City, East Java, Indonesia. It was built to commemorate the Indonesian warriors who sacrificed their lives in the fierce Battle of Surabaya in 1945.
For us Taiwanese, although this piece of history may not be very familiar, once you arrive there, you immediately feel the solemnity and gravity.
The monument itself soars into the sky, symbolizing the indomitable national spirit. The adjacent museum displays many war relics and historical images, allowing visitors to better understand the background and sacrifices of that time.
