Suzhou Xishan Family Fun Guide/Spring is in the air, time for an outing!

This past weekend, with the flowers in full bloom, we took the kids to Xishan in Suzhou.
Here's our two-day, one-night itinerary and some tips for you.
-
✅ Yuyangshan Scenic Area
The plum blossoms were in full bloom, making for some great photo ops. If you have little ones, you can take the cable car 🚡 up. The view of Taihu Lake is truly amazing!
Reminder ⏰: The parking lot at the scenic area gets very crowded on weekends. Drive further in to find a spot.
✅ Renaissance Suzhou Taihu Lake Hotel 🏨
We headed to the hotel in the afternoon. It was too hot, and the kids were getting tired!
We booked a lake-view room with two double beds. The room was spacious, and we could even sit on the balcony and enjoy the lake view!
After dropping off our luggage 🧳, we went to the Five Elements restaurant on the 11th floor for afternoon tea. The pastries were exquisite and delicious, and both kids loved them!
With our bellies full, it was time for some fun with the kids!
This is a family-friendly hotel with plenty of activities for children.
Indoors 🈶️ a LEGO center, a movie theater, a swimming pool…
Outdoors 🈶️ a playground, a small train, a carousel, a pink sand beach 🏖️…
For dinner, we went back to the Five Elements restaurant for sukiyaki. The pot had a good mix of meat and vegetables, perfect for the whole family.

Oh, and the hotel 🏨 has Tesla Superchargers in the underground parking lot, which I absolutely loved! I could charge my Tesla right there!
This trip to Xishan led me to discover this gem of a family-friendly hotel!
