Tongli Ancient Town ๐Ÿ˜๏ธ

We arrived in Tongli Ancient Town on a humid summer morning, the canals glimmering under the heavy sun while the white walls of the old houses reflected the heat ๐ŸŒž๐Ÿ˜๏ธ๐Ÿ›ถ. Cicadas buzzed in the trees, their sharp chorus filling the air as boats glided slowly under the stone bridges, each arch mirrored perfectly in the still, dark water ๐ŸŒ‰๐ŸŒณ๐ŸŽถ. Locals sat in the shade of the eaves, sipping tea or fanning themselves, the scent of river water and blooming lotuses floating by.

We ducked into Tuisi Garden where the stone corridors offered cool shadows, and ponds lay thick with lotus leaves and the occasional pink bloom ๐ŸŒธ๐ŸŽ‹๐Ÿž๏ธ. The air was heavy but alive every turn brought another quiet lane, another canal, another boatman calling softly as he passed. Tongli in summer moved slowly, like the water itself, unbothered by time, content to let the days stretch long and bright ๐Ÿšถโ™€๏ธ๐Ÿ•ฐ๏ธ๐Ÿƒ.
