The hottest destination of the trip: Suzhou

Returning to Suzhou from Zhouzhuang, I could already feel the intense heat of Suzhou while waiting for the driver at Suzhou Station. The taxi ride was even more frustrating due to frequent traffic jams! Upon asking the driver, I learned that Suzhou had been experiencing consecutive sunny days, and road construction with lane reductions and traffic controls had made the already congested traffic even worse. It took 40 minutes just to get from Suzhou Station to the guesthouse on Guanqian Street, not including the waiting time for the taxi! After checking into the guesthouse, I immediately turned on the air conditioning to cool down.

During this trip to Suzhou, I visited the Suzhou Museum, Pingjiang Road, Guanqian Street, the Gate of the Orient, Jinji Lake Scenic Area, Eslite Bookstore, and Shantang Street. As for Hanshan Temple and the Humble Administrator's Garden, which I had visited before, I decided to skip them this time.
