It only takes 30 minutes by high-speed train to get directly from Shanghai to the most romantic place in Suzhou. This is the Suzhou Ferris Wheel, officially operating since the end of March this year. I had heard about this very romantic Ferris wheel for a long time, so on a clear day with excellent visibility, I specially came to check it out.

Recommended transportation:

Take the high-speed train directly to Suzhou Industrial Park Station. If you only get a ticket to Suzhou Station, it’s also fine; the subway takes about 40 minutes and is very convenient. Take Metro Line 8 to Suzhou Contemporary Art Museum.

Photo spots:

1. At the highest point of the Ferris wheel, you can capture the most beautiful aerial view of Jinji Lake, and there is a broadcast reminder inside the cabin.
2. While ascending, you can take photos of the cabin, giving a feeling of a spaceship.
3. While descending, you can also capture the large wing sculpture below, which is very beautiful.
4. Throughout the ride, you feel like you’ve become a drone, and taking photos of various buildings is also beautiful. You can lean against the railing inside the cabin to take photos, and you can also capture group photos with the Gate to the East. When getting off the cabin, you can take photos of the cabin itself.

Best time to visit:

If you want to visit during the day, choose a sunny day with high visibility. At sunset, around 6:30 PM in summer and 4:00 PM in winter, you can see the most beautiful sunset from the Ferris wheel. At night, you can also shoot night scenes or the blue hour.

1. When there are fewer people, you can enjoy a cabin all to yourself.
2. At the entrance, the cultural and creative store sells creative ice cream. Spending 25 yuan allows you to stamp the store’s seal, and buying postcards lets you stamp multi-color seals. So I bought an ice cream and a postcard and stamped all the seals in the store, each seal is very beautiful!
