The National Showa Memorial Park in Tokyo truly offers a different beauty in every season. No matter how many times you visit, it never gets boring. Especially in early April, when cherry blossoms and rapeseed flowers bloom simultaneously, against the backdrop of blue skies and green fields, the delicate pink cherry blossoms paired with the bright yellow rapeseed flowers create an unbelievably beautiful scene!
The park is home to over 30 varieties and 1,500 cherry trees. During cherry blossom season, golden rapeseed flowers, colorful tulips, and many other flowers compete in bloom. Many people picnic under the cherry trees, creating a wonderfully romantic spring atmosphere.
To get to the National Showa Memorial Park, take the Nambu Line to Tachikawa Station. From the station, it’s a 10-minute walk to the park’s outer area, and then another 10-minute walk to the ticket booth. Admission is ¥450, allowing you to enjoy the vast sea of flowers without the crowds. Highly recommended.
