Zhenwu Palace, the first century-old monument in Wuqi, is one of the attractions in Wuqi Old Street.
It is right next to the popular Osu branch office. It is recommended to visit together.
About 10 minutes’ drive from Shalu Station

Zhenwu Temple retains the traditional architectural features of Taiwanese temples and is one of the three major historic temples in Taichung along with Wanhe Temple and Lecheng Temple.
The temple is dedicated to Zhenwu Emperor and is one of the local religious centers. It is also the only temple on Wuqi Old Street that preserves the traditional Minnan architectural style.
The structure is elegant and simple, and in order to avoid the strong northeast monsoon along the coast
Therefore, the overall building height is relatively low compared to the common traditional temples.
After following the signs into the alley, you can see many old street paintings along the way.
There are so many cute painted tiger statues placed along the alley. They are super cute and good for taking photos!
The painted little tiger extends from the path on the right side of the temple to the back of the temple. You can enjoy it while walking.
A few were lost before and the temple had to hire someone to redo them. So please don’t pull them up and take them away.
You can stay for about 30 minutes. It is recommended to visit the nearby Osu Branch Office together!

Address: No. 104, Xijian Road, Wuqi District, Taichung City
