Location: No. 52, Fuxing Road, Taian Village, Houli District, Taichung City
Introduction: Taian Old Station is a discontinued railway station located in Houli District, Taichung City, Taiwan, along the Old Mountain Line of the Taiwan Railway Administration (TRA). After the Taiwan Railways moved the mountain line to the new line, the station building of the old Tai'an Station and nearby related railway facilities including the tunnel were renovated and opened to the general public for visits. It was named Tai'an Railway Cultural Park and is a popular tourist attraction in the surrounding area. The station building was also designated as a Taichung County Historic Site (now a Taichung City Historic Site) by the Taichung County Government (now the Taichung City Government).
Tickets: Free
Opening hours: 9:00-17:00
Experience: The old Tai'an Station is a product of the Japanese era. Because it experienced a major earthquake, the architectural style of the time was changed and rebuilt. It is also a memory in the hearts of local people. Although it has been out of service for many years, it still attracts many people to visit and take many artistic photos on the railway and at the station. It is always very popular during holidays.
