Taichung Food｜Hipster Style Traditional Rice Noodle Soup

Located near Taichung Railway Station, #阿莲米粉汤 has been passed down for three generations.
The new storefront and the hipster design make the traditional rice noodle soup easy and comfortable to eat.

We ordered two sets:
阿莲经典套包 (TWD 135) & 鮮暱套包 (TWD 239)
There are four side dishes to choose from, and we ordered one each of dry braised tofu and fried tofu. The braised tofu with a solid texture is very flavorful; the fried tofu is crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, and I personally prefer the braised tofu. We also ordered a portion of dry compartment meat/liver & soup with vegetables. The compartment meat is chewy, and the vegetables are flavored with braised meat, which makes it more salty and fragrant.

🍜阿莲粗米粉及芝麻酱 (+TWD 5)
It is thicker than the rice noodles we usually eat, and tastes better.
It is rich in aroma when mixed with sesame sauce!

🍜Dried noodles with fresh oysters and braised eggs
The thin noodles are not dry when mixed with braised pork and sauce. Each oyster is also plump and not fishy. The braised eggs are also very flavorful.

It tastes smoother and more delicate. The soup base is mainly clear soup with a small amount of braised pork to enhance the flavor, which is light and salty.
