Comfortable and Relaxing Taichung Getaway

This time, we stayed at the Le Méridien Taichung with our child, and the overall experience was quite pleasant. Although it rained on the day of our visit, which disrupted many of our planned outdoor activities, it unexpectedly led to a different kind of experience. Upon entering the hotel lobby, we were greeted by a subtle fragrance and attentive staff, which made traveling with a child much less stressful. We didn’t have to worry about the small details after a tiring journey. The room was clean and bright, with a modern and minimalist design. While the view outside was rainy, it became an interesting observation game for our child, who leaned against the window watching raindrops fall one by one, keeping him entertained.

The highlight of our stay was the Executive Lounge. Since it was raining heavily outside, we spent almost the entire afternoon in the lounge. The space was quiet and comfortable, with spacious and soft seating. Our child could play with toys or flip through picture books nearby, while my husband and I enjoyed snacks and drinks at ease. The staff were friendly and attentive, frequently replenishing hot tea and small bites, making us feel welcome even with a child in tow. For us, the Executive Lounge felt like a temporary haven, providing a cozy corner for the family to relax on a rainy day.

In the evening, the lounge’s cocktail hour was an added bonus. The variety of exquisite snacks was delightful, allowing adults to enjoy a drink while children had suitable options like juice and cookies. The contrast between the rainy view outside and the warm indoor lighting created a particularly cozy atmosphere. Although our original family itinerary was disrupted by the rain, the presence of the Executive Lounge made the entire stay enjoyable and memorable. In summary, Le Méridien Taichung is an excellent choice for families with children. Even on rainy days, you can find a different kind of travel joy in its comfortable spaces.
