Shennong Street, where the simple and cozy atmosphere of Tainan is reflected

November 2017, my sixth #Taiwan trip: Using #Taipei as a base, I cautiously explored #Taichung & #Tainan~

• I explored #Shennong Street (#神農街), a popular hangout for many. To shed its image as a run-down, old city, the city was actively pursuing urban regeneration... In the process, the city was transforming by adding a hip, trendy vibe to its ordinary alleyways, and Shennong Street was one of those places.

• Many Taiwanese locals visited, and... Cafes and shops that truly captured the old alleyways of Tainan were everywhere.

• Seeing the houses where residents actually lived, decorated with flowers, was uplifting and heartwarming. The small, yet warm, charm of Taiwan was alive and well.
