The National Museum of Prehistory's Nanke Archaeological Museum is located in the Xinshi District of Tainan City, covering an area of ​​approximately two hectares and is under the jurisdiction of the National Museum of Prehistory. During the development of the Southern Science Park in Tainan, prehistoric artifacts dating back as far as 300 years ago and as far as 5,000 years ago were discovered. In order to rescue the artifacts unearthed from this site, the Southern Science Park Archaeological Museum was established in the area to preserve the prehistoric cultural assets unearthed in this area. The museum officially opened in October 2019. The exhibition areas in the museum include: "Aspects of Prehistoric Life", "Five Thousand Years of Southern Science and Technology", "Scientific Archaeology", "Secrets of the Museum" and Children's Hall. Here we can understand the various experiences our ancestors had in making their living on this land. Understanding and preserving it is the best way to protect this land.
