Xinyi Street Coral Stone Huang Residence - Grand Opening Exhibition

Hidden in the alleys, the "Xinyi Street Coral Stone Huang Residence" is one of Tainan's historical landmarks, boasting a history of over a century! The English translation on the main gate reads "Architecture Museum Xinyi Street of Coral Stone," which reveals that the so-called coral stone architecture is actually constructed using coral limestone. In ancient times, this type of material was considered exceptionally durable.

The grand opening exhibition features the achievements of the Department of Architecture at National Cheng Kung University! The display methods are quite unique, with some works affixed to walls, others placed on tables, some laid on the ground, and even some suspended from the ceiling. The presentation style embodies the concept of "simplicity is the ultimate sophistication."

After exploring the exhibition, don't forget to check out the backyard. The backyard not only features landscaping but also has a staircase leading to the second floor. This old-fashioned staircase is incredibly mini and charming, as its narrow design allows only one person to pass at a time.
