Chimei Museum

The Chimei Museum in Tainan is one of Taiwan's most extensive private museums. It was founded by Mr. Wen-Long Hsu, the founder of the Chimei Group, in 1992 and opened to the public in its new location within Tainan Metropolitan Park in 2015. Renowned for its grand Western classical-style architecture, the museum's collections span various fields, including Western art, musical instruments, weaponry, and natural history.

The museum's permanent exhibition halls include the Animal Hall, Weaponry Hall, Art Hall, Musical Instrument Hall, and Rodin Hall. Additionally, the outdoor area features European-style landscapes such as the Apollo Fountain Plaza and Olympus Bridge, which are open to the public free of charge.

· Opening Hours: Museum 9:30 AM - 5:30 PM (closed on Wednesdays); Outdoor area 9:00 AM - 6:30 PM.
· Admission: General admission for permanent exhibitions is NT$200; Tainan residents and students studying in Tainan can visit the permanent exhibitions for free with valid identification.
· Transportation: Take the Taiwan Railways to Bao'an Station and walk approximately 15 minutes, or transfer to a bus from Tainan Train Station.
