Introducing Zige Valley

Zige Valley is located in Xi'an's Huyi District, about 30 kilometers from the city center. It houses the Jingde Pagoda, where Xuanzang's remains are buried. Upon reaching the ruins of Baolin Temple, an ancient bell can be seen amidst the grass. Upward, a stone path leads to a difficult cart path. After about 500 meters, a small path on the right leads uphill to the Jingde Pagoda. Further along, two waterfalls can be seen.

To the west, a 90-degree cliff, about 1,000 meters below the peak, resembles a purple pavilion. Tang Dynasty poet Li Bai praised the mountain in a poem, comparing it to a "Purple Pavilion," and later generations called it Purple Pavilion Peak. Looking south, Purple Pavilion Peak stands tall and straight, illuminated by the setting sun, surrounded by a purple aura and dazzling greenery. This is "Purple Pavilion Qingming," one of the twelve scenic spots in Huxian County.
