Tainan Poo Tse Lantern Festival

Among the places in southern Taiwan, Tainan has been chose to be part of this festival.

It composed of 1500 glowing globes outside the Puji-Temple in Tainan or the Poo-Tse Temple in “Hokkien” term. All lanterns have been artistically decorated by the locals.

People came here to praise, worship and to see the beauty of the lanterns. For the locals, painting is not only art - it’s a therapy. Every painted lanterns has it’s own story.
