📍Location: No. 70, Sanshui Street, Wanhua District, Taipei City
🏘️Introduction: The Shintomi-cho Cultural Market was formerly known as the "Midori-cho Food Market". The building was completed in 1935. It is a public market that was completed in the late period of Japanese rule. The buildings in the market include various building materials of the time. The flat roof of the horseshoe-shaped main building of the market is supported by reinforced concrete beams, and the walls are made of reinforced bricks. The ancillary buildings include wooden Japanese-style dormitories and brick public toilets. The remaining wooden buildings were also the offices of the time.
⏲️Time: Tuesday to Sunday 10:00-18:00, closed on Mondays
🎟️Tickets: Free
🥰Experience: It is hard to imagine that the current coffee shops and cultural and creative stores were the shabby traditional markets at that time. The once bustling scene was instantly destroyed by World War II. Looking back, the post-war reconstruction is quite exciting. The promotion of culture and the invention of cultural and creative industries are the steps that modern people cannot lag behind in their pursuit of fashion.
