The rainy season in Tengchong should be over. Although today's weather forecast predicts rain, when we arrived early at Dongshan Grassland⛰️, the sky was clear blue. We checked in for grass skiing and horse riding activities, which were fun and great for photos.

🚗 Navigation
Strongly recommend self-driving or chartering a car! Sightseeing buses take a long time and are not flexible.
Navigate to the South Gate Tourist Center of Dongshan Grassland. After buying tickets at the center (30 RMB per person, 60 RMB per small car), enter the scenic area. You can stop at temporary parking lots whenever you encounter beautiful scenery, which is very convenient. Finally, exit the scenic area from the North Gate.

Horse Riding, Grass Skiing, and Mountain Biking Experience Area
Enjoy beautiful scenery and take photos along the way. After entering from the South Gate, you will see swings, lakes, and other beautiful spots. The activities are full of fun.

Various price options are available. We chose to ride around the lake. The kids rode cute little ponies happily, and the experience was great 👍🏻

Activity Area 2: Grass Skiing Experience 🛹
You need to climb to the top of the hill for grass skiing. Tickets are 49 RMB per person at the top; children under 1.2 meters are free. The queue moves very fast; it took only five minutes for us. The process is thrilling, and many people shout loudly on the grassland!

Photography 📸
As long as the weather is good, every shot is beautiful. The best spot today was the grassland opposite the horse riding area. There is a big hole in the iron fence to enter. The vast grassland is very clean, and you can get close to the cows, run, look back, gaze into the distance, lie on the grass, and have fun freely while taking candid shots.

Tips
🌞 Sunscreen, sunscreen, sunscreen! The UV rays are very strong. Hats, sun-protective clothing, and umbrellas are essential.
☁️ Try to visit the grassland in the morning. The chance of rain is higher in the afternoon. It rained lightly after noon today, and the sky was not as blue.
🚪 Enter from the South Gate and exit from the North Gate for the best scenery.
