Hidden on Fuxing South Road in Taipei’s East District is a mysterious and glamorous bar – ASYLUM. The dim lighting, vintage décor, and artwork on the walls create a unique atmosphere. It was full house when I arrived on Saturday night, and luckily there were still seats available for walk-ins! What a lucky one! 😌 This bar is only two minutes from our hotel, Episode Daan Taipei, which is very convenient!
Once inside, you feel a relaxing vibe. Soft vinyl music 🎶 rings softly in my ears, as if all worries are cut off from the outside. The dim lights shining on the wine glass reflect a mesmerizing glow that makes people look forward to tonight’s tipsy trip even more.
My husband and I each have a cup of cocktails🍹, I chose the Hong Kong-style "Yang Zhi Man Lu", and he chose the fresh "Youth":
Mango Mango: I didn't expect the flavor of Hong Kong-style desserts to blend so perfectly with cocktails! 😍 The moment you enter your mouth, the fragrance of grapefruit, the sweetness of mango and the richness of Gin wine perfectly combine, rich in layers, making people unforgettable! It's really like drinking a glass of alcoholic mangosteen!
Youth: This cocktail is full of fresh fruity aroma, sour and sweet, like the feeling of first love is so reminiscent! 😋 After drinking, the whole person feels lighter and full of energy!
Because I had a rich dinner before, I just simply ordered a snack "Garlic Little Octopus" 🐙. I didn't expect this snack to be done so well! The small octopus is fried crispy and delicious, with a strong garlic flavor, very tasty, very good with Cocktails! 😋
ASYLUM's heart is not only for cocktails, but also for snacks, music, and the environment. Here, there are no restraints, only freedom. Whether you want to relax and immerse yourself in the music world of vinyl records, or chat with friends and share life moments, ASYLUM can meet your needs. Just like its name suggests, it’s a shelter, a place where people can unguard and show their true self. ❤️
💡 Tip: The bar environment is relatively dark, friends who like bright light may have to consider it. Low consumption TWD500 per person, we two cocktails plus a snack bill about TWD 1200 or so.
