#favouriteitinerary #travelanywhere One of the most unforgettable experiences I had in Taiwan was visiting the observatory at Taipei 101. Spanning four levels, the observatory offers an incredible opportunity to take in sweeping views of the city while uncovering the fascinating engineering behind Taipei 101—an iconic structure and the world’s tallest green building.
While the indoor observatory on the 89th floor provides stunning vistas, the real highlight for me was the outdoor observatory on the 91st floor. Accessible by a staircase from the 89th floor, this open-air space is free from any glass barriers, offering a raw, immersive experience where you can feel the breeze and truly connect with the sky. From here, you can gaze upon the tower's towering 508-meter spire, which rises majestically into the skyline. But be prepared—the winds can be strong! The 91st-floor outdoor observatory is only open on days with favorable weather, and I was fortunate enough to visit on a crystal-clear day, making the experience even more magical.
Binoculars are provided to help you explore the panoramic views up close, allowing you to fully appreciate the intricate details of the sprawling city below. The combination of the stunning views, the rush of the wind, and the sense of standing atop one of the world’s tallest buildings creates a truly awe-inspiring moment that encapsulates the dynamic energy and beauty of Taipei.
