#Taipei Attractions
My dears, the Taiwan Science Education Center is absolutely amazing! After the tour, I just want to say, why didn’t I discover this great place for taking kids out earlier!
📍 Address: No. 189, Shishang Road, Shilin District, Taipei City
🕙 Opening hours: Tuesday to Friday 9:00 - 17:00; Saturday and Sunday 9:00 - 18:00, closed on Monday (except holidays and winter and summer vacations)
🎫 Tickets: Permanent exhibition 3-6th floor full ticket NT$100, student discount ticket NT$70, free for children under 6 years old and over 65 years old, aerial bike full ticket NT$80, student discount NT$50.
As soon as you enter the door, you will be attracted by the super design building, and there are many surprises inside! There are 7 floors in total, and each floor has a different theme.
✅The 3rd to 6th floors are permanent exhibition areas, where knowledge of subjects such as life sciences, physics, chemistry, mathematics, and earth sciences are displayed in a super interesting way. Children can easily understand scientific principles while playing. Like the digestive system display, you can directly see the whole process of food from the mouth to the stomach and then become poop. It is super intuitive. There are also realistic human body models that automatically introduce various organs and tissues, and the display of embryonic development can help children understand the magic of life.
✅The venue will also hold various interesting special exhibitions from time to time. The previous "Science of Addiction" special exhibition turned the exhibition venue into a substance addiction research institute, integrating laboratories and brain science centers, and setting up puzzle tasks so that children can learn knowledge through games.
✅Don’t miss the dynamic 3D theater, stereoscopic theater, and earthquake theater! The interactive video in the Earthquake Theater uses the animation of the Science and Education Center's mascot, the Kobo family, to let everyone understand Taiwan's major earthquakes and disasters. While watching the movie, you can also feel the tremors of a magnitude 3-7 earthquake depending on the difficulty of the questions, which is super shocking.
✅Don’t worry if you are tired from playing, B1 has light meals, coffee, drinks, and mos burger. The dining area on the second floor has great lighting. Opposite is the planetarium, so space fans shouldn’t miss it!
Families, bring your kids here, you can relax and learn at the same time, so hurry up and save this code!
