From Spa House to Story House

The Beitou Hot Springs Museum used to be an actual public bathhouse—and that’s what makes it so special. During my Taipei trip, I got to walk through its history and picture how it once welcomed visitors for relaxation and healing.

Now, it’s a peaceful, beautifully preserved museum filled with stories of people, water, and wellness. I especially liked the model of the large bathing pool and the display of old bath accessories. The place gives you a sense of calm and respect for traditional ways of living. A lovely escape into the past.
