Beitou Hot Spring Museum is a must-visit for free

Beitou Hot Spring Museum, located at 2 Zhongshan Road, Beitou District, Taipei, is very convenient to walk to Beitou MRT Station, one of the most authentic places to taste Beitou hot spring culture. The museum was converted from a red brick building from the Japanese colonial period. Not only does the building look classically elegant, but the indoor exhibition area is also full of nostalgic atmosphere, giving people a feeling of traveling through time and space as soon as they enter. Most importantly, it’s free to enter without worrying about any additional expenses, making it perfect for free or family outings.

It is recommended to enter from the main entrance, first appreciate the exterior red brick structure and arch design, and slowly feel the grandeur of Beitou Hot Spring. The exhibition is divided into several themes: history of hot spring development, hot spring culture, hot spring medicine, and Beitou flavor. Don’t miss the old public bath space on the second floor, now turned into a display area where you can get an up-close look at the design and ceremonies of the early public baths. There are detailed graphic introductions on the wall that even children can understand. Along the way, there are also Taiwanese hot spring antiquities, hot spring yukata displays and interactive learning games for parents and children to explore together.

3. The exhibition area is not large, slowly walk about an hour to finish, can arrange the same day nearby Beitou Park, geothermal valley play.
