The White Pagoda in Jianyang City is located in the southern suburbs of the Jianyang urban area, originally built in the summer of the third year of Qingyuan during the reign of Emperor Ningzong of the Song Dynasty, and completed in the autumn of the second year of Jiatai (1202). The pagoda is a brick and stone structure imitating a wooden framework, with thirteen levels in a pavilion style. The spire is a round pointed tip, and the body of the pagoda is quadrilateral, tapering upwards layer by layer, with windows on each level. Inside the pagoda, there are 96 stone steps leading up to the ninth floor, and on the inner walls, there are still over a hundred Song Dynasty Buddhist frescoes. The base of the pagoda is a square Sumeru pedestal, with each side measuring 11.2 meters, and the total height of the pagoda is 37.9 meters. It is a precious historical relic for the study of Song Dynasty architecture and painting art.
