Fika Fika has been around for 11 years. I visited twice before the pandemic 🚶🏻. The owner felt that over the years, the café had become too crowded with “pilgrims,” making it hard for customers to truly enjoy the flavors of the coffee 🤔. So in October last year, he opened a new shop nearby, named Xiuxiang after his mother 🏠.
The space is styled with warm wood and soft amber lighting, giving it a refined atmosphere 👀. Crafted by Taiwanese artisans, the window panels hide delicate motifs of coffee beans and pour-over kettles 🫘🫖. The long interior draws focus to the central open bar counter 🤩. Ten varieties of coffee beans — from light to dark roast — are neatly displayed on the table 🧐. Guests can smell each one before deciding which to use for pour-over or other brewing methods 👃🏻.
