Many people think Tainan, as a cultural capital, should have the most historical sites in Taiwan. However, in terms of the number of historical sites, Taipei City actually ranks first. The largest Japanese-style dormitory cluster in Taiwan, Rongjin Time Living Park, is also located in Taipei City.
Rongjin Time Living Park was originally a historical site of the Japanese colonial prison officers' dormitory. After restoration, it has become one of the most relaxing Japanese-style outdoor historical attractions in Taipei. The park features seven century-old houses, making it a favorite spot for lovers of old houses and cultural enthusiasts.
If you haven't tried wearing a kimono, this is a great place to experience it. The Japanese-style dormitories, weathered red brick walls, and towering old trees create a strong sense of history. Wearing a kimono and taking photos here will give you a beautiful and atmospheric experience.
