Taiping has many historical sites and beautiful scenery. One of the famous scenic spots is Taiping Lake, which consists of about ten lakes. Taiping Lake was developed into a lakeside park from an abandoned mine lake in 1888 during the British colonial period. It is said to be the first and oldest lakeside park in Malaysia. Many of the shophouses in Taiping seem to be painted in this bright white color, which, when combined with the other main buildings and history of this small town, inexplicably exudes a neoclassical aura. The shop is inlaid with a whole row of simple Manchurian windows, which further highlights the Straits flavor of the fusion of Chinese and Western styles. If you pass through Taiping, don't miss the equally wonderful architectural heritage here. I recommend everyone to go to Peace Hotel, which has now been renamed Peace Tea House Hotel.
