The Taitung Baoding Art and Culture Center, formerly part of the former mayor's official residence complex at the intersection of Zhongshan Road and Baosang Road in Taitung City, was built in 1936 as official residences. The six Japanese-style wooden buildings comprise one-story wooden structures, housing both dormitories and gardens. The buildings are immaculately constructed, rich in Japanese style and possess historical value.
Currently, the Baoding Art and Culture Center is not only a unique urban feature within the city, but also provides Taitung residents with a place to relax and play, display municipal materials, and host exchanges and networking events for local artists and art and cultural groups. Baoding is steeped in nostalgia and artistic flair, and its old buildings truly possess a magical charm. Strolling here and experiencing the revitalized old buildings in a leisurely manner is truly a highlight of life!
