Blue Volcano Island ~ Green Island

🏖️ Atmosphere:
Green Island, also known as "Fire Island," is a volcanic island in the Pacific Ocean located about 33 kilometers from Taiwan's main island. The island is surrounded by coral reefs, boasting a rich underwater ecosystem, making it one of Taiwan's premier diving paradises.

The vibrant marine life of Green Island includes intertidal zones with lush green algae reefs and pristine coral reef habitats that serve as homes for various species. For diving enthusiasts, Green Island is an international-level diving haven. The coastline of Green Island features unique rock formations sculpted by the erosive forces of seawater. Among these, the "Sleeping Beauty and Pug" formation is particularly iconic. From the island's coastal highway, visitors can spot this fascinating scene: on the left, a pug lying on the sea gazing at the right, where Sleeping Beauty reclines along the shoreline. Her long hair is represented by the adjacent white sandy beach. These geological wonders are accompanied by numerous myths, but the true beauty lies in the breathtaking craftsmanship of nature itself.

Another must-see is the pristine white Green Island Lighthouse, built in 1938 by the United States as a gesture of gratitude to the islanders for assisting in rescuing stranded ships. With over 80 years of history, the lighthouse remains a vital landmark for Green Island's fishing boats and aircraft. It is also a popular spot for travelers to take photos and check in on social media!

Green Island is also home to one of the world's rare underwater hot springs, the "Zhaori Hot Springs." These sulfate-chloride springs are non-irritating to human skin and leave no sticky residue after bathing. The hot spring area is surrounded by coral reefs and sea-eroded trenches, offering a unique and enjoyable soaking experience.
