Find a warm pool between mountains and seas - Jinlun Hot Spring

If Taitung is a slow journey, then Jinlun is the most gentle stop along the way. Unlike the bustling Zhiben, it boasts a simpler, more secluded tranquility. Walking from Jinlun Station into the village, steam from the hot springs rises through the fields, carrying the salty sea breeze and the warmth of the earth, guiding travelers into the secret hot springs deep in the valley.
I chose a small hot spring inn. The wooden bathtub overlooked a lush green forest. The spring water was clear and smooth. Soaking in it felt like my whole body and soul were embraced by the mountains and the sea. The night was silent, save for the occasional dreamlike hum of a train passing under the bridge. This was my most unforgettable moment in Taitung, not just because of the spring water, but also because of the quiet and authenticity, like rediscovering a long-lost rhythm.
