Jinci is the earliest existing royal sacrificial garden in China

Jin Temple, formerly known as Jinwang Temple and initially named Tang Shuyu Temple, was built to commemorate Tang Shuyu, the founding prince of the Jin State (later posthumously named King of Jin), and his mother Queen Yi Jiang (daughter of Jiang Ziya).

Among them, the Nanlao Spring, the Maid Statue and the Zhou Cypress are known as the "Three Wonders of Jin Temple". Jin Temple is the earliest existing royal sacrificial garden in China and the ancestral temple of the State of Jin. It is a concentrated carrier of ancient Chinese architectural art and the only example in China with a complete main architectural type and time sequence from the Song, Yuan, Ming, Qing and the Republic of China. The attached colored sculptures, murals, and steles are all national treasures. It is a comprehensive carrier of the historical context of the Three Jins, and is evidence of the inheritance of the Jin cultural system, which can be traced back to the establishment of the Jin Dynasty in the Western Zhou Dynasty and the creation of the cultural context in the prosperous Tang Dynasty. It is the birthplace of the Wang and Zhang families in the world.
