Kyushu Miyazaki's must-visit hidden gem - Takachiho Gorge

When visiting Fukuoka, you must head to Kyushu, and while in Kyushu, you absolutely have to visit this hidden gem. The majestic and expansive Takachiho Gorge boasts breathtaking natural scenery that will surely rejuvenate your body and mind! However, let me warn you—don’t assume that just because it’s a gorge with waterfalls, it will be cool... It can still be quite hot during summer!
Additionally, to enjoy the stunning views, you’ll need to do a bit of hiking. So, make sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring some snacks or food. Most importantly, carry at least two bottles of water! We hope everyone will take on the challenge of experiencing this incredible scenery!

1. By train and bus:
@ From Kumamoto:
Take the Kyushu Shinkansen to Kumamoto Station, then transfer to the express bus "Takachiho-go" to Takachiho Bus Center.
@ From Miyazaki:
Take the JR Miyazaki Airport Line to Nobeoka Station, then transfer to a bus heading to Takachiho Bus Center.
@ From Fukuoka:
Take the express bus "Gokase-go" to Takachiho Bus Center.

Upon arriving at Takachiho Bus Center, you can take a taxi or local city bus to visit attractions like Takachiho Gorge and Amano Iwato Shrine.
