A Day Trip to Takachiho

When visiting Kyushu, it's recommended to rent a car and drive to Takachiho for a day trip. Be sure to book a boat ride in advance. You can paddle close to the waterfall and take stunning photos, but keep in mind that the ride is limited to 30 minutes, so manage your time well and have some basic rowing skills. Afterward, visit Takachiho Shrine, then head to Amano Iwato Shrine and Kamishikimi Kumanoimasu Shrine. The atmosphere at these two shrines is completely different, so if you have time, make sure to explore them.
