Yakuriji Temple (Shikoku Pilgrimage Site No. 85)

Yakuriji Temple (Gokenzan Kanji-in) is the 85th temple of the Shikoku Pilgrimage, located in Mure Town, Takamatsu City, Kagawa Prefecture. This powerful temple is built on the mountainside of Gokenzan, which stands at an elevation of 375 meters.

By car: About 20 minutes from Takamatsu Expressway Shido IC. Parking for 400 vehicles (standard cars), free of charge, with multipurpose restrooms available.
On foot: After using the cable car, consider descending via the pedestrian main approach (about 1 km / 15–20 minutes). Along the way, you can enjoy treats like yomogi mochi.
