We visited the Takamatsu City Museum of Art to see Ishida Takashi: Between Tableau and Window. The exhibition explores the intersection of painting and moving image, blurring the boundary between stillness and motion through Ishida’s signature time-based drawings. Each work seemed to pulse gently — as if the canvas itself were breathing.

Beyond the artworks, the museum’s architecture is stunning. The clean lines, wide glass windows, and soft natural light perfectly complement Ishida’s meditative pieces. It’s one of those museums where both the art and the space feel equally inspiring.
