Takayama is not just about Hida Sushi! A fun and delicious day trip

Many people would sign up for a one-day tour to visit Shirakawa-go and Takayama. Although this would save them the hassle of transportation and allow them to visit both places in the shortest amount of time, after reading the introduction to Takayama attractions, I decided to take my parents to spend the night in Takayama! Play from morning till night!
For breakfast, I recommend going to Miyagawa Morning Market (no need to say more). There are various hot food stalls along the way. First, buy a bottle of Hida milk in a glass bottle, which is fresh, fragrant and smooth. Two steps away, there are takoyaki. The stall owner is flipping the balls. The online games I played in elementary school are still vivid in my mind. The soft and fragrant sauce is really appetizing! There is also a must-try pudding, available in hot and cold varieties. I chose the hot pudding, which had a super fragrant egg and milk flavor, without any bubbles at all. After finishing a cup, I felt like I wanted another encore~
When strolling around Takayama Furumachi, in addition to the Hida beef sushi that you must order, you can also try skewered dango, gohei cakes and beef skewers. But to be honest, apart from checking in to prove that you have been there, the tastes are really not to your liking. There is a Warabimochi restaurant in Furumachi that has very good reviews, but it sells out very quickly. Google says it's open until 3pm, but when I got there at 2pm, it was already "Closed". You must go to the sake brewery to try the sake. I usually drink sake and fruit wine, and I love grapefruit wine. I tried 3 cups and finally ordered a bottle to bring back!
If you like retro attractions, please go to Takayama Showa Museum! You need a ticket but take your time to walk around and take pictures. I can't believe I spent two hours there! I took a photo of the little drama with my travel companions with my mobile phone. I can’t stop laughing when I watch it again~
If you want to eat barbecue in the evening, there will be people queuing before the door opens. I believe you will have to wait for a table if you come late. (I don’t eat beef, so I have no comment) Gaoshan ended the day early and went back to the hotel to soak in the hot springs and have a good rest. It was so cool!
