A great spot for a break: Hida Takayama Town Museum

The Hida Takayama Town Museum is located on Kamiichinomachi Street, one street away from the old town streets that are the main tourist spots in Takayama.
It's free to enter, and inside there are exhibits related to the history and traditions of Hida Takayama. There are also exhibits related to festivals.
The exhibits are voluminous and well worth seeing. Photography is prohibited inside.
Away from the crowds of the old town, it's quiet and calm, and there are benches so it's a good place to take a break.
Across the street from the entrance is the Hida Takayama Town Experience Exchange Center, where you can try out crafts and more. Behind that there is an open space and a cafe.
It's not too crowded and you can relax, so I think it's a hidden gem for sightseeing in Takayama.
