Even Japanese people will be amazed by Shinhotaka!

The Shin-Hotaka Cable Car is located on a mountaintop about two hours away by direct bus from Takayama Station. Tickets can be purchased directly at the Takayama Hino Bus Stop and queue for the ride. Once you reach the cable car station, you'll need to take the first, smaller section to the second platform, where there's a sales counter. Then, you'll take the main cable car up to the summit. The air and temperature are completely different once you're up there. Limited-edition goods and food are also for sale here. The scenery is fantastic and highly recommended. You can stay for about an hour, and autumn and winter are even more spectacular for the autumn leaves and snow.
