Sanmachi Suji 📍Takayama Old Town

Takayama Old Town is located in Takayama City, Gifu Prefecture. It is an area full of old wooden houses built during the Edo period, about 200 years ago, and has been well preserved to this day. The most popular street among tourists in the old town is Sanmachi (Sanmachi Suji/ 三町筋) Sannomachi Street, located in the south of Takayama City. It is a street lined with shops and famous sake breweries in the city.
