Beautiful Obama Port

The only route between Kohama Island and the outlying islands is via Ishigaki Island.

Himurubushi and Hoshino Risonare are the two major tourist hotels on Kohama Island, but the port is quite crowded when the shuttle buses for these two are in operation.

If you are staying at another hotel, we recommend arriving at the port a little earlier on your return. You may be in trouble if the bus is full and you cannot get on.

Apparently, there are also extra buses during events and Golden Week.

The toilets are surprisingly clean.

I could only find about three places to eat nearby.
The juice from the vending machine costs about 30 yen more than the one sold in the mainland.

It's also fun to spend your time daydreaming while looking at the beautiful sea while waiting for the boat.
