Short Getaway at Mercure Penang Beach

Mercure Penang sits along the beachfront of the Penang Beach, about 15 minutes car ride away from Gurney Drive. There is direct access to the beach, which was great for a morning stroll before breakfast.

Check-in and check- out was a breeze and the rooms were surprisingly big for the price. The bed was comfortable and clean, and there was a nice seating area within the room. Nevertheless, the bathroom was slightly small but basic necessities were provided.

The breakfast spread was also decent and there was quite a selection of food including sandwiches and an omelette station.

Facilities in the hotel included a decent pool and gym, as well as an outdoor lounge to enjoy the cool breeze.

Overall, value for money if you're looking for an affordable option to enjoy the beach in Penang.
